Craig McConnell (musician)

Craig (Robert) McConnell is a Canadian music producer, film and television composer, and songwriter.

His film scoring credits include Textuality (starring Jason Lewis), Animal 2 (starring Ving Rhames) and 5ive Girls (starring Ron Perlman). For television, he has composed for international TV series such as Word Girl (PBS), Wedding SOS (Slice) and Property Virgins (HGTV). Along with partner Justin Forsley, he recently wrote the theme song and underscore for the sitcom Life With Boys, from the creators of Hannah Montana.

He is the President of the recording studio and production company Inside Music Inc., based in Toronto. He is also a principal partner in Los Angeles-based Arrive at Eleven Productions.

For Inside Music, McConnell co-produced, engineered and/or mixed albums for The Show (EMI) and The Novaks (Sonic/Warner). In 2011, he produced and co-wrote the tracks "Hotline" and "Hush" for Keshia Chante's album "Night and Day".

Along with Chad Richardson, he is a member of the production/songwriting team jACK, which won the USA Songwriting Competition for best R&B song in 2002. Most recently, jACK wrote and produced the single FLASH for Epic/Sony Japan recording artist Crystal Kay.

McConnell holds a B.A.Sc from the University of Toronto (Engineering Science).
